The project is located in the old town of Arbo\u00e7, in a BCIL<\/strong> building with modernist fa\u00e7ade<\/strong> and cataloged hydraulic pavements that are part of its heritage value. It had been in disuse for many years and had serious structural problems due to the presence of termites. <\/p>\n\n The objective was to recover the original residential use, maintaining as much as possible the configuration of the house and respecting the protected elements. The strategy has been surgical<\/strong>: the rooms have been preserved, and the intervention is concentrated on the interior fa\u00e7ade, where a single space has been opened to locate the living room-dining room-kitchen. <\/p>\n\n The main challenge of the project has been the replacement of 80% of the support, heavily affected by termites, while ensuring the structural safety and integrity of the listed building. The hydraulic pavements<\/strong> have been preserved and are shown where they have more prominence, highlighting the modernist essence of the building. <\/p>\n\n With minimal but precise interventions, the space has been transformed to become habitable again.
